That fucking does it. I am never so much as touching another drop of alcohol as long as I live. It makes you irresponsible, it makes you stupid, and it makes you do utterly shitty things to people you care about and you apparently never even realize it.

"You want a piece of cake, honey, I got a piece for you right here!"

This has been a GREAT fucking weekend. Thursday night I went out to Hale's and had dinner and drinks with a bunch of good old friends, many of whom I hadn't seen in months. Friday night Luke came into town for 'fu and we decided to put it off until Saturday morning, and go out to the Houndstooth and drink with a bunch of Malleteers, some of whom I hadn't seen in years.

Yesterday started out with two hours of 'fu that went very well, I thought, and only got better from there. Hung out with Luke and Michelle a little bit, then went and watched two of the finest human beings I've ever met get married. I can't remember the last time something made me as happy as I was yesterday during the wedding. Although I must say that glancing over while the reverend was leading the congregation in prayer and realising that none of my friends were praying was oddly comforting. Also, Luke, tell Michelle that I'm not an atheist; I have no trouble believing in God, it's just that I have a massive problem with organized religion.

Anyway, after the wedding there was the reception, which was very very cool. Any time you get to eat good food, drink good bourbon, hang out with good friends and dance with a beautiful woman CANNOT be classified as bad.

And that wasn't the end of it, but I wanted to have a little snack before I went to bed (yes, I know, my eating habits are wonderful), and that layer of wedding cake I got from the nice gay man isn't going to eat itself.

And oh yeah: Afore the drinkin' Friday night, there was the fun of the wedding rehearsal, then the rehearsal dinner at the Cypress Inn. Which was very nice.
