Self-Portrait 3

(no subject)

-- I had a great vacation. I relaxed at home for a week, then I spent a few days up in Birmingham with Dave and Cooper. I got to see Michelle, and I even got to see Josh. I stayed up until 5 on New Year's, watching movies, drinking plum wine, and making fun of Carmen Electra, surrounded by my best friends in the entire world. We should all be so fortunate. I went and saw Return of the King, again, and followed it up with a fantastic meal, again. Hopefully I won't make the mistake of letting myself get used to such an opulent lifestyle. I got some great, great gifts, I got my tarot read, I found some great pictures when we went home for the holidays, I just did everything. The first week of my vacation was great, and the second week was much, much better. I can only think of one thing that could have made it even better still.

-- I begin to grow suspicious that that damn "weeeeeeeeeee" squirrel is making the rounds on the internet again. Although, with the shortened attention span and instant gratification factor that online activity encourages I suppose it makes sense that fads come and go and come back around much more quickly. It's just like the '70's and the '80's coming back, except within a much more compressed time frame. I wonder how much longer before the triumphant return of "All your base are belong to us"?

-- I'm still having trouble getting over the fact that my vacation was so great that not only did I not mind going back to work Monday, but when I got up that morning I was excited at the prospect.
