Self-Portrait 3
This came to me today. I'm putting it up here before I forget about it/collapse from the exhaustion:

I've decided that I don't read nearly enough, and on top of that I don't think I'm well read enough, so I'm instituting a program I call Make Will's Black Ass Read. I'm going to get all my friends to recommend at least one book to me, and after I borrow it from them/get my own copy, I'm going to try to get it read in a week. Two weeks tops.

I ask anyone who decides to participate, keep in mind that four books are already on the list, so it'll be at least a month before I get to any new suggestions. I already have The Gift of Fear, from Ruthanne (no, I still haven't finished that book), One Hundred Years of Solitude from Michelle (no, haven't finished that one either. Hopefully I can get her to let me borrow her copy again), Lord of the Barnyard from Luke, and Sabriel, from Cooper.

I will merely second Michelle's suggestion, because 100 Years of Solitude is probably my favorite book ever.

And if you get around to it, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers is a really good read.

And, after you read it, perhaps you can answer the age-old question: is the title a command, or is it "Pat the Bunny!" as in, "Heeeeres PAT!!"

actually, it's not an age-old question. I tried to tell a girl that there would be a comma after Pat if it was the bunny's name, but she wouldn't listen.

If you have an hour or two

The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff. It's a quick, easy read.
